The Walkabout Awesome 1,000,000 Burger Giveaway
Walkabout Pubs, with the help of Evolving, are getting into the spirit of the festive period and have launched a campaign encouraging registration online at www.walkabout.eu.com for the opportunity to download a voucher for a free handbuilt burger.
Launched on Friday 21st November the dedicated work to seed the promotion to drive site traffic got underway. Van Communications, Regent Inns PR agency added weight to the campaign by securing a homepage slot on Money Saving Expert, who also included the offer as their top deal of the week, circulating it on their weekly email, sent to c.2.5 million subscribers.
The result was a 24 fold increase in site traffic on Wednesday 26th November with visitors reaching 28,795, resulting in over 7,000 email registrations in one day alone, and 40,000 in the first week. With a similar number of vouchers printed and redemption figures high the campaign is proving to be a real success.
Scheduled to run until December 14th with e-marketing (to c.400,000 customers), viral seeding and in venue promotional material to continue, the total campaign results are expected to be dramatic.
