iPhone 3G
So here we are again, another day and another inspired update to the already impressive range of groundbreaking products we never knew we needed......until they gave it to us!
The office has been a mixture of frenzied activity ranging from the bewildered and inspired, to the interest of onlookers or the hidden jealousy of people in the know when the colleague they sit next to pulls out the beautifully sleek gadget and places it on their desk with a smug look.
Well where do we start with so many things to talk about? To start with, first gen iPhone was mightily impressive - but the second coming is the phone we'd been hoping for all along. The addition of speedy 3G HSDPA is the chief improvement, but there's now also GPS for satnav and photo geotagging and push email courtesy of Microsoft Exchange and MobileMe. This caused a buzz of excited and impromptu brainstorms on the possibilities of such a device, with some ideas going straight into production. We’ll save those surprises for another day shall we! And then there's the awesome multi touch screen, the slick user interface, motion sensors, the music and video skills and much, much more, including hundreds of new software apps available via iTunes. Many iPints have been drunk and the plethora of solutions is sure to be staggering, with new Apps appearing everyday. Is there an App that can make tea I wonder?
Apple could still improve their baby further by replacing its underpowered 2-megapixel camera, but the common theme: ‘who needs a camera when the phone is all you want to look at?’ Stunning!
